Practical training in cosmetic tattoo, permanent makeup, fine line tattoo and laser tattoo removal. Four students per class, live models from day one, and a trainer beside you for every pass.
02 — WHY TRAIN WITH US
You leave able to work, not just able to describe the work
Most people who come to us have watched a hundred hours of video and still haven’t held a machine over real skin. We fix that in the first session.
Classes are capped at four so the trainer can watch your hand, correct your depth and stop a bad habit before it sets. You practise on latex, then on live models, with your trainer checking stretch, angle and saturation pass by pass.
By the end of your course you’ll have a portfolio of healed work, a consultation script you’re comfortable using, and a clear understanding of hygiene, contraindications and aftercare.

Beginner pathways for career changers, and advanced modules for brow artists, beauty therapists and tattoo artists adding a new service.
Eyebrow Tattoo, Microblading & Powder Brows
Brow mapping, skin assessment, pigment selection and three techniques in one pathway: microblading strokes, powder shading and combination brows. Seven days, two live models each.
Fine Line Tattoo
Single-needle line work for artists who want clean, healed lines. Machine tuning, depth control, stencil placement, design translation and healing behaviour across skin types.
Laser Tattoo & Cosmetic Tattoo Removal
Wavelengths, pulse duration, pigment response and fluence settings on our own machines. Contraindication screening, patch testing, consultation and realistic fade expectations for clients.
04 — HANDS-ON TRAINING
Four students. Two trainers. Real skin.
Theory takes the first morning. After that you’re at a workstation with your own machine, cartridges and pigment tray, working through practise skins until your line quality holds.
Live model days are booked for you. You run the consultation, patch test, map the shape, get sign-off from your trainer, then tattoo with them at your shoulder. You also handle the aftercare brief and the follow-up review, because that’s where clients are won or lost.
Everything you touch in class is what you’d buy for your own studio, so nothing feels unfamiliar the week you start working.

Skin & Depth
Fitzpatrick assessment, undertone, scar tissue and oily skin. Where the pigment needs to sit and what happens when it sits too deep.

Machine, Needles & Pigment
Cartridge configurations, speed and stroke, colour theory for brows and lips, and how to correct a pigment that has healed cool or warm.

Hygiene & Safety
Barrier setup, cross-contamination control, sharps handling, contraindications and when to refer a client to their GP instead of tattooing.

Consultation & Aftercare
Reading what a client actually wants, setting expectations, patch testing, pricing your work and writing aftercare that people follow.
05 — TRAINERS
Elena Marchetti
Brows and lip blush. Fourteen years behind the machine, still takes clients three days a week — which is why her corrections module is the most useful day of the course.
Daniel Poulos
Fine line and micro-realism. Came from a traditional shop background, so he teaches machine control the way tattooers learn it: slowly, on practise skin, until the line stops wobbling.
Priya Raman
Laser tattoo removal and cosmetic tattoo removal. Clinical background in dermal therapy; teaches settings, safety and the consultations that keep expectations honest.

07 — FAQ
Before you enquire
Do I need experience?
No. Around half of each class has never held a machine. The beginner pathways start with theory, practise skin and hand control before you go near a model.
How long are the courses?
Between two and seven days depending on the discipline, plus a follow-up review session where we look at your healed work together.
Are models provided?
Yes. We book and screen models for every practical day. You may also bring your own if you’d prefer to work on someone familiar.
What's included?
Machine, cartridges, pigments, practise skins, mapping tools and aftercare kits for your model days, plus your course manual and photographs of your work.
Can I work straight after the course?
You’ll finish with the technical skills and a portfolio. Local council registration and insurance are separate steps and vary by state — we walk you through what applies in Victoria on the final day.
Where is the studio?
Inner Melbourne, close to public transport. Interstate students usually fly in for the block and we can suggest accommodation nearby.
