Eyebrow Tattoo Course: measure first, then learn the needle

Our eyebrow tattoo course is practical, face-to-face training in powder brows and ombre brows. It’s taught in small classes by Olha Po, a licensed cosmetic tattoo artist who has worked professionally since 2016. It suits beginners starting out and beauty professionals adding eyebrow tattooing to their skills.

What you practise

A practical brow checklist

  • — Brow mapping, measurement and symmetry
  • — Pre-draw and shape planning for different faces
  • — Colour theory and pigment selection
  • — Skin assessment and hygiene practice
  • — Powder and ombre brow technique
  • — Aftercare guidance for clients

Method

Before the needle

A common misconception is that eyebrow tattooing is just operating a machine and following a design. Good brows start with planning and judgement.

Step — Mapping & symmetry

Measure the face before drawing the brow

Mapping points, balance and proportion, so the shape suits the client’s features as well as a template.

Step — Colour theory

Understand undertones and how colour settles

How skin tone and undertone affect the way brow pigment looks once healed.

Step — Pigment choice

Choose and adjust pigment with reason

Choosing shades for natural hair colour and skin, and knowing when to adjust.

Step — Skin & hygiene

Prepare the skin and the workspace

Looking at the skin, setting up a clean workspace and following safe hygiene habits from the first session.

Step — Technique practice

Build hand control for powder and ombre work

Guided practice on shading, gradient and consistent pressure, with Olha’s feedback as you work.

Step — Aftercare guidance

Explain healing clearly to clients

What to tell clients about healing and aftercare, so they know what to expect.

Technique

Powder brows

A soft, shaded finish built up gradually with the machine, giving the look of a lightly filled-in brow. You learn how to control density so the result looks even and balanced.

Technique

Ombre brows

A shaded brow with a gradient, lighter at the front and fuller towards the tail. It relies on careful mapping and steady pressure. Comparing techniques? See Powder Brows, Ombre Brows or Microblading? or the Microblading Course.

Who it suits · How you’re taught

In small classes, your individual progress matters, not just getting through the course.

If you’re new to cosmetic tattooing, the course starts with the basics of mapping and colour before you move on to technique. If you’re already a beauty professional, it gives you a structured way to add eyebrow tattooing or refine your shading.

Classes are small and taught directly by Olha Po. Her professional background covers permanent makeup, eyebrow tattooing and cosmetic tattoo correction and removal, which helps her explain why some brows heal well and others need correcting. Meet Olha Po · Where to start
