COURSE 08 · SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL · FOREST HILL

Saline Tattoo Removal Course: read the old work before you try to lift it

Our saline tattoo removal course is hands-on, face-to-face training in Forest Hill, Melbourne. It is a non-laser approach to correcting cosmetic tattoos, taught in a small class by Olha Po. Olha is a licensed cosmetic tattoo artist who has worked professionally since 2016, and her background includes cosmetic tattoo correction and removal.

WHEN TO SAY NO · 01

Assess

Read the existing tattoo first: placement, colour, depth and the condition of the skin. You are working with pigment someone else placed, often years ago, and healed pigment can shift in tone.

The same planning mindset runs through all our training. Read more in Before the Needle: How We Teach.

WHEN TO SAY NO · 02

Decide

Weigh whether saline removal is a sensible choice, or whether correction, or no work at all, is the right call. Good judgement matters more than speed.

When the answer is yes, the work starts with a clean, controlled set-up and an honest explanation of healing, without promising a particular result.

WHEN TO SAY NO · 03

Refer

Some tattoos may not respond the way a client hopes. When a situation is beyond your training, the professional step is to say so and refer on.

This is not medical training, and the course teaches you to work within the limits of what you have learned.

RISK & SAFETY

Removal carries real risks

The most useful thing a removal student learns is when to say no.

Saline tattoo removal is a practical procedure on broken skin. Like any cosmetic tattoo or removal work, it carries risks and must be performed with appropriate training, hygiene and safety precautions.

Results vary from person to person, and some tattoos may not respond in the way a client hopes. The course teaches you to assess carefully, work within your training and refer on when a situation is beyond it.

Olha teaches as a cosmetic tattoo artist and trainer. She is not a medical or registered healthcare professional, and this course is not medical training.

WHO THE COURSE SUITS

Beginners and beauty professionals

The course suits adults building a career in the beauty industry and cosmetic tattoo artists who want to understand correction work. If you are new to cosmetic tattooing, you may find it useful to start with where to start or the Eyebrow Tattoo Course. You might also compare this course with the Laser Tattoo Removal Course.
