Laser Hair Removal Course: assessment and safety come before the first pulse

Our laser hair removal course is a specialist, hands-on training option taught face-to-face in Forest Hill, Melbourne. Olha Po teaches each small class herself. She is a licensed cosmetic tattoo artist who has worked professionally since 2016, so you get personal guidance and she can follow how you’re progressing.

A laser is not a tool you can learn by watching. Before you practise any technique, the course covers how to assess skin, prepare a safe and hygienic work area and explain aftercare clearly to clients.

WHO IT MAY SUIT

Mainly for beauty professionals adding a new treatment

This course usually suits adults who already work in beauty and want to add laser hair removal to their skills. You may be a beauty therapist, a cosmetic tattoo artist or a salon owner who wants to understand the treatment properly before offering it.

If you’re completely new to the beauty industry, talk to us before you choose this course. One of our core courses may be a better first step, such as the Eyebrow Tattoo Course or the Cosmetic Tattoo Course Package. We’d much rather help you choose the right course than enrol you in the wrong one.

STEP — 01 · ASSESSMENT

Look before you treat

Learn to consult with clients and assess their skin and hair, and to recognise when a treatment should not go ahead.

STEP — 02 · HYGIENE

Prepare a safe space

Learn to set up the work area, clean surfaces and equipment, and use protective measures for both you and your client.

STEP — 03 · TECHNIQUE

Practise with guidance

Practical training in a small class, where Olha can watch your technique closely and correct it as you go.

STEP — 04 · AFTERCARE

Explain what comes next

Learn to give clients clear aftercare guidance and to know when to refer them to an appropriate health professional.

Learning this work is never just about operating a machine. Judgement and safety sit at the centre of it.

Risks and precautions

Laser hair removal is a practical procedure, and it carries risks. To be done safely, it needs appropriate training, careful hygiene and consistent safety precautions. Throughout the course, risk is treated as part of the technique itself, never as something to deal with later.

Our training is beauty skills education. It is not medical training, and Olha is not presented as a doctor, dermatologist or registered healthcare professional. If a client has a skin or health concern, it belongs with a qualified health professional.
