HOW WE TEACH · FOREST HILL, MELBOURNE

Before the needle: how we teach cosmetic tattooing

Every brow, lip and eyeliner tattoo starts long before the machine is switched on. It starts with measuring, mapping and making decisions about colour and skin.

Our hands-on training in Forest Hill is taught directly by Olha Po, a licensed cosmetic tattoo artist who has worked professionally since 2016. Classes are small, so your own progress is what shapes each lesson.

THE METHOD

Before the needle

Many people think learning cosmetic tattooing is just operating a machine and following a design. In practice, most of the skill is planning and judgement.

Mapping & symmetry

Measuring the face and drawing a shape that suits it, before any pigment goes in. Eyebrow Tattoo Course

Colour theory

How undertones and skin affect colour as a tattoo heals, so the result matches what you planned. Lip Tattoo Course

Pigment choice

Choosing and mixing pigment for brows, lips and liner, and knowing why the choice matters. Cosmetic Tattoo Course Package

Skin & hygiene

Reading the skin, preparing a clean workspace and taking the safety precautions every procedure needs. Course information

Technique practice

Building control in powder brows, ombre brows, microblading strokes and liner work, with Olha watching closely. Microblading Course

Aftercare guidance

Explaining clearly to clients how to look after the area while it heals, especially around delicate skin like the eyes. Eyeliner Tattoo Course

SMALL CLASSES

Measured by your progress, not a script

Olha teaches every class herself. Because the groups are small, she can see where you’re confident and where you need more time. That’s true whether you’re a complete beginner or a beauty professional adding a new technique.

STEP — WATCH & UNDERSTAND

Each stage begins with the reasoning behind it. You learn why a brow is mapped a certain way or a pigment is chosen, not just what to do. That reasoning comes from Olha’s own practice, which also covers cosmetic tattoo correction and removal.

STEP — PRACTISE & REFINE

Then you practise hands-on while Olha guides your hand position, pressure and placement. Feedback is personal to you, so the next step depends on how your own technique is developing.

“One of the biggest misconceptions is that learning cosmetic tattooing is simply about operating a machine and following a design.”
