Removing pigment asks for more judgement than placing it. This course page sets out how removal is studied: a careful consultation, a reading of the skin and the existing tattoo, an understanding of the approaches available, and clear aftercare education for every client.

The Tattoo Removal Course is for students who want to understand the other side of pigment work: why some tattoos fade readily and others resist, how skin responds to repeated treatment, and how to set realistic expectations with a client from the very first conversation.
It suits practising cosmetic tattoo artists who meet clients wanting older brow, lip or eyeliner work corrected, as well as beauty professionals planning a career that includes correction and lightening. Students new to the industry often begin with the Cosmetic Tattoo Course, because knowing how pigment is placed makes its removal far easier to reason about.
Removal work is regulated differently across Australian states and territories, so every student should confirm local requirements before offering treatments.
Removal training typically covers three areas.
A. CONSULTATION
Taking a thorough client history, recognising when treatment should not go ahead, and assessing skin type, the tattoo’s age, depth, colour and prior corrections. Students learn to explain likely outcomes plainly, without promising complete clearance.
B. APPROACHES
How the main families of removal work in general terms, including light-based and non-laser lightening methods, what each is suited to, and why pigment colour and placement near the brows, lips or eyes change the plan.
C. AFTERCARE
Writing clear aftercare guidance, spacing sessions so the skin can recover, spotting signs that need further advice, and keeping accurate records of each treatment so progress can be reviewed honestly with the client.
Removal training usually follows a treatment from assessment to aftercare. Structure, format, inclusions and any schedule are confirmed when you enquire.

It helps. Artists who understand pigment depth and skin handling tend to assess removal cases more confidently. If you are starting fresh, ask about beginning with the Cosmetic Tattoo Course.
That depends on the requirements where you practise, the method you intend to use and your own confidence. Check with your state or local authority before treating clients.
Many clients seeking new brows or lips first need older work lightened. Pairing removal knowledge with the Eyebrow Tattoo Course or Lip Tattoo Course gives you both sides of the conversation. More answers are in the course FAQ.
Removal sits naturally inside a wider cosmetic tattoo practice. Read the guides alongside, then send an enquiry about the Tattoo Removal Course. General questions can go through our contact page.
